We have applied to MHDC for grant funding for the redevelopment of The Armpit. It needs reroofing, soundproofing, insulating, new windows and a new entrance! If we are successful then the work will be carried out within a year. If unsuccessful we shall seek funding from elsewhere. In the meantime Lee is repairing the entrance floor which was in need of urgent work.
You may also notice that we now have a defibrillator (attached to the front of The Armpit). This was kindly provided by West Malvern Social Club. We shall arrange a training session with HeartStart . If you are interested in attending please let me know by emailing me at doc10352@aol.com.
Lee has also installed CCTV for security and insurance purposes.
The repairs to the exterior to the pub are scheduled for the week commencing 1st September. We need volunteer painters so if you are willing and able to help let me know by emailing me asap.
Our AGM will take place on 20th September at the Elim Theatre on Westminster Bank. The formal notice will be sent out in due course . As part of the proceedings we will announce who has been successful in applying to join the board. 3 shareholders will be appointed for 3 years. Current members Andy Wood, Chris Marks and Liz Bridges are putting their names forward for re-election.If you wish to stand for election could you please email me by 5pm 15th August sending a short summary (no more than 150 words) of who you are, why you would like to join the board and what skills you feel you could bring.
Applications received after 5pm on the 15th will not be accepted. If you need any further information please let me know. Voting forms with the candidate summaries will then be sent out to all the shareholders for them to consider and vote. There will be a strict timetable for return of the voting slips
